STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE
Strawberry Milkshake is an original acrylic painting and is part of my Thunder Skies Series. It is 30” x 40” and is set in a black floating frame, ready to hang.
Who doesn’t love a milkshake? It certainly tugs on the heartstrings of my childhood when my Dad would make us all milkshakes as a special treat. Perhaps you’ve noticed that embedded within my thunderstorm/cloud obsession, I seem to have many food references. I believe all dessert related food references…obsession within obsession. Hmmmm?
There are pink and orange fluorescent paints used in Strawberry Milkshake. Each color stands alone but they also sort of swirl together to create a new version of orange-pink. Or pink-orange. The water’s reflection picks up these colors and takes on a creamy vision, while the tree is dotted with white and pink blossoms. You can almost feel the cooling breeze now that the storm has passed, and you know exactly which of your kids is going to ask, “Mom, can we go get a Strawberry Milkshake?”
