THREATENING SKY

$720.00

This Threatening Sky original acrylic painting is part of my Thunder Skies Series. It is 24” x 24” and is set in a natural unstained oak floating frame, ready to hang.

Okay, we know I’m a sucker for a stormy sky. I don’t enjoy dangerous or frightening storms, but the harmless ones still come in with awe inspiring power, as if the storm clouds are fighting with one another, jockeying for position in the sky, while they resist or comply with the wind’s insistence and direction. The sun fights for position in this battle as well, sometimes licking the edges of the clouds, sometimes painting the sky in the small space between the storm clouds. When the storm passes, the orange sun bakes the ground and dances off the water, reveling in it’s ultimate win. Just the same, the storm came in with great power in a Threatening Sky.
