GOLDEN HOUR
Golden Hour is an original acrylic painting and is part of my Thunder Skies Series. It is 30” x 40” and is set in a black floating frame, ready to hang.
Golden Hour is a special time of day when the sun is lower in the sky and emits a soft, warm, diffuse light. It’s a time of day cherished by photographers because this light amplifies the beauty of a photo. It happens in the morning for about an hour after sunrise, and in the evening for about an hour before sunset. It’s a time of day that wraps you in golden warmth; when you can almost feel the touch of the sun’s rays on your cheek.
In this painting, the sky is dark, you can almost hear it grumbling; but on the horizon there is a golden light glowing on top of the water, and just above this golden glow, there is a dark rotating cloud that resembles a UFO, also lit gently from behind. This is a beautiful scene and she invites you to bask in the glow of her Golden Hour.
